Practice:
Chan Wan Kyn's works manifest themselves in a diverse range of mediums from physical interactive experiences to digitally generated works. In the latest exploration, Path Project (2nd link) captures lux, light intensity, readings coupled with GPS data of familiar pathways that he has travelled. Often, these digital renders capture oft-traveled routes to and from places around Wan Kyn's university campus, his second home for the past 6 years, after sunset. These renders illuminate the passage of time and space through light, allowing audiences an abstract yet relatable experience to reimagine this journey, mapping and visualizing data in a myriad of ways.
