Faris Nasir (Kapten Buehbossa) is a multi-disciplinary artist, his works encompasses music, visual arts (animation & stills),
flow arts and soap bubble arts. Performing as Kapten Buehbossa, using soap bubbles as his main
medium, Faris has brought smiles across continents, to countries such as China, India, South Korea, UK, Maldives,
Dubai, Africa and around South East Asia since 2010. While exploring soap bubbles, Faris also went in depth into the science of soap bubbles; how they
rearrange themselves in a specific geometrical way and how the color dynamics came about, which are
known as fractals, repeating patterns in different scales, of which can be found almost anywhere in
nature. The discovery led him into making fractal arts as Vuevossa Visuals.
Faris' journey of exploring soap bubbles started as a personal mission to bring giant bubbles to the peak of Mount Kinabalu. He succeeded the mission in 2013 after 3 years of experimentation. Witnessing the magic above the clouds, bubbles became his passion, growing into a hobby, obesession and profession. The history of soap bubble art has been traced way back to more than 100 years ago. Soap bubbles are not just admired for its beautiful qualities as an art subject, but also the various aspects of its science and mathematics. It had been studied extensively and the applications are very diverse, from medical, meteorological, engineering and even astronomy. Kapten Buehbossa hopes to keep learning and explore soap bubbles to share their wonders with the public.
