I am a Hong Kong-based photographer, Architect and artist. Since 1996, I have tried to capture Hong Kong's neon signs before they are all dismantled.
Practice:
I photograph neon signs of the Hong Kong's streetscape. Once ubiquitous, these neon signs are rapidly disappearing. Getting up close - and even inside these iconic installations, these photographs convey the buzz of electricity and flicker of failing neon. Several of the signs captured in this series have already been dismantled. Recently, I have collaborated with an AI programmer to generate impossible worlds using my neon photography as a basis for the AI to learn.
