radarboy3000 is a crypto artist, creative hacker and techno utopianist from South Africa, now living in Singapore. His work is inspired by computational art, and the aesthetics of the dance music scene. Stripped of excess details, his mostly monochromatic minimalist artwork strives to find meaning and beauty in collaboration with the machine. He is also the founder of Asia’s first and largest NFT art event, Crypto Art Week Asia, and of the generative NFT collectable, The Mad Hatter's Club, one of the biggest projects on the Tezos blockchain.
Practice:
Referencing the history of computation and generative algorithms, radarboy's work pays homage to the artists who paved the way for generative expression, and who have inspired, and heavily influenced his work - Sébastien Truchet (aka Father Sébastian, a mathematician, typographer and scientist), Vera Molnár (Hungarian/French artist considered to be a pioneer of computer art and generative art, and is also one of the first women to use computers in her art practice) and Sol Lewitt (an American conceptual and minimalist artist, best known for his instructional "Wall Drawings").
