MakersPlace Collectors Night Artist Meet & Greet with Matt Gondek

MakersPlace Collectors Night cocktail meet & greet. Come say hi to MakersPlace collectors and the artists behind the CAWA MakersPlace drop. Hosted by acclaimed artist Matt Gondek, he will talk about his Fight Club project and interview CAWA artists Arya Mularama and Mojoko  about their MakersPlace featured drop.

Crypto Art Week Asia (CAWA) and MakersPlace have partnered to celebrate stand-out Asian artists. CAWA is Asia’s leading crypto art festival, running concurrently in multiple cities across Asia and the metaverse, featuring the continent’s most talented and forward-thinking digital artists to strengthen bonds within the artist community in Asia and promote Asia-based artists in Asia and abroad.

MakersPlace is joining CAWA at their showcase venue in Singapore from September 28–30, 2022, at the iconic Haw Par Villa for a festival of art, music, and technology. To celebrate, we’re exhibiting stand-out Asia-based creators both IRL in Singapore and on MakersPlace.

CAWA founder George Galanakis told Vogue magazine about his intentions behind the event:

“CAWA was founded to give artists in Asia global visibility and to strengthen and grow the arts community in Asia. Art on the blockchain has seen an explosion in the past few months. CAWA aims to blanket this virtual space with Asian art, putting it in front of a global audience of collectors and fans.”

To celebrate this year’s CAWA, MakersPlace is hosting a special in-person event, releasing two Drops from top-tier Asian artists, and curating an exhibit of some of our favorite creators in the space.

The two stand-out Asian creators who will drop on MakersPlace at the same time on September 28 during the festival, curated by CAWA exclusively for MakersPlace are:

The street art and comic book–inspired Arya Mularama drops GREAT PAIN

As part of the MakersPlace night, we’ll be showcasing the MakersPlace-curated Exhibit that will also be live on MakersPlace.com. The Exhibit will be displayed on high-definition screens for everyone to enjoy.
